Frequently Asked Questions

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who feel stuck despite doing everything they think they "should" be doing. I also enjoy working with professionals in technical, academic, and other demanding environments who value both reflection and practical change.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of who you are, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope might change. We'll talk about your current concerns, important life experiences, and what has or hasn't helped in the past. My goal is not to rush into solutions, but to understand your situation, clarify what you're looking for, and begin building a foundation for the work ahead.

Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that uses focused attention and eye position to access experiences that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone. It can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, performance concerns, and longstanding patterns that persist even when they are intellectually understood. While insight and conversation remain important parts of therapy, Brainspotting provides another way of working with experiences that are not always easy to put into words.

Finding the right therapist can take time, and the relationship itself is one of the most important parts of the work. My priority is to help you clarify what you're hoping for, what feels important, and what you need from therapy. Part of that process is developing a clearer sense of the kind of support and approach that will serve you best, and I'm always happy to help guide you in that direction.
